Vineyards
EstateMeticulously farmed by Partner Jon Morgan, our estate vineyard sits on three acres with a gentle south-east facing slope. Planted in 2005 to 4 clones of Pinot Noir; Mount Eden, Dijon clones 777, 667, and 115. Sitting on sandstone and clay soils, our vineyard is entirely dry farmed for both sustainability and quality. We take pride in our organic practices, including sheep, pomace, and organic dried seaweed fertilizers. Wines made from the Estate vineyard always lead to an elegant and traditional expression of Pinot Noir, evolving as they sit in the glass and the bottle. Our estate vineyard wines include the single vineyard Estate Grown and blended into the Stretched Boundaries. |
SaveriaOwned by Frank Saveria, Saveria Vineyard is located in Corralitos on top of sandy loam soil and planted to 10 acres of Pinot Noir, clones 667 and 115. Sitting at 400 feet elevation on the Corralitos Bench, the wines exhibit rich and robust full-bodied characteristics that balance between fruit and earth flavors. |
Sunny Knoll RanchWhile planted mostly to Chardonnay, Sunny Knoll Ranch produces a small, but impressive selection of Pinot Noir; Pommard and Dijon 115 clones. Located in Corralitos at 400 feet elevation, the vineyard sits on sandy soils and receives irrigation throughout the growing season. This helps the grapes produce delicately fruity and light bodied wine that is bright ruby in color. |
Pleasant Valley FarmsWe are the sole winery to source fruit from Pleasant Valley Farms’ charming 10 acre estate in Corralitos. Sitting at 400 feet in elevation with sandy soil, this vineyard is planted to four acres of Pinot Noir; Vosne-Romanée, Mount Eden, Pommard, and Calera clones. These wines tend to be dark in color and full bodied for the varietal. Four acres are designated to Robert Young clone Chardonnay, lending itself to a bright, medium bodied style. One and a half acres of Cabernet Franc that follows tradition in suit of the Loire Valley, and a simple half acre to Sauvignon Blanc, crisp and refreshing. Owners Pat & Teresa Royan have been generous to offer their property for our membership gatherings. |
Coast GradeNestled at 1,300 feet elevation, this 17 acre vineyard on Bonny Doon Road is farmed by Ryan Beauregard. It is located in the Ben Lomond Mountain AVA, Santa Cruz Mountains only sub-appellation. It is solely planted to Pinot Noir; Dijon clones 828, 115, and 667, and Pommard. The vineyard sits atop a limestone slab with sandy top soil and yields only 1 to 1.5 tons per acre, creating a wine with earthy complexity and deep concentration, unlike many California Pinot Noirs. With its close proximity to the ocean and influence of the fog, these wines consistently show promise to be age worthy. Pinot Noirs crafted from this site include the single vineyard Coast Grade and Stretched Boundaries. |
Lago LomitaLago Lomita Vineyard is located on the top of the summit, 2,600 feet in elevation just above the fog line. The property is managed by owners Mark and Robin Porter, with 12 acres of vineyard, grown on sandstone soils with both south and north facing slopes. We source Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc from this site. The Italian varietals show old world elegance with floral and red fruit nuances throughout. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc wines display classic mountain fruit, exhibiting an intriguing and graceful side to the variety and encouraging their longevity. |
